Nutritional Talk
Mr. Greene organised a healthy eating talk for us. Bradbuy's offered for Sinéad, a nutritionist, to come and speak to Senior Infants about healthy eating. It was a super talk! We heard about the benefits and added vitamins of different fruit and vegetables. We also got to sample them!! It was a super yummy morning!!
Easter Egg Hunt
The Easter Bunny left a note, an egg hunt and treats on our last day of school in Term 2!! We set off in groups to answer all the clues he left for us! What excitement and fun we had working together!!!
Fun Run
We had another 'Fun Run' as we are and Active School. Junior Infants joined us on our run on Thursday the 16th of March.
Our Lenten Promise
For Lent, as a class, we have decided to give up our Friday treat. If we all stick to this, we will have a party at the end of Lent. So please don't put a treat in our lunch boxes this Friday!!
Pancake Tuesday
We learnt all about the tradition of Pancake Tuesday and Lent. We were very lucky and got to sample some pancakes in class....but only when our lunch boxes were empty!!
Senior Infant Fun Run
We did a 'Fun Run' around the school yard. All the senior infant classes started on the basketball court. We ran from here to our playground where we ran up and down all the lines! We then headed for the Academy yard where we ran around the basketball hoop and back to the start. Some of us were very tired after it!!!
10 @ 10
Operation Transformation had an idea for us all to do 10 minutes of exercise, at 10 o'clock, on the 10th of February!! We followed their video for 10minutes each day for a week. On the 10th of February we went to the yard for 10 o'clock and began our 10 minutes of exercise. We really enjoyed getting active!!
G.A.A.
Brendan and Joe from Round Towers have come to school on a Wednesday to do basic football training. We're really enjoying learning new skills. They give us plenty of homework!! We have been asked to practice jumping/hopping on the spot, throwing a ball to a wall at home, catching a ball, etc. We have great fun with them on Wednesday!!
Visit From Santa!!
On Monday, the 19th of December, while heading to the Aistear room, we got a massive surprise!
We met Santa in the corridor of our school!!! We were very shocked. He spoke to us, and said that he would pop around to visit us when we were back in our classroom.
Guess what?! Santa did call to our classroom!! We sang a song for him and said a poem. We were all very excited and thrilled to have him visit us. Santa was very generous and gave us all a selection box each!

Elf On The Shelf
We had some great excitement in our classroom on the 1st of December! We received a package straight from the North Pole. It was addressed to Ms. Gray's Senior Infants. Some of us were shocked, but very excited at the same time to see what was inside. We can't wait to see what mischief Elfie gets up to!!
Round Towers
Jason and Gary, who play for Round Towers, called to our school with the County Finals Cup they won. They beat Two Mile House in the final. We were delighted to show them our support and had great fun chanting for them!
Towers! Towers! Towers!
Towers! Towers! Towers!
Gymnastics
We're very lucky to have Sandra come in on a Thursday and teach us gymnastics. We will have 6 weeks with her. During our first lesson we revised some of the movement we learnt in Junior Infants.
